When doing forward fishtails you start by holding your baton vertical and rolling the baton from your pinky towards your thumb, so when doing reverse you are going to start by doing the opposite. I actually hold the baton straight out in front of me like it’s an extension of my arm, not up and down like when you’re doing a forward fishtail. You may also start in a reverse figure eight. From there roll your baton onto your hand, thumb towards pinky this time. Your baton should be rolling vertically towards your face. You can either roll it between your thumb and index finger, or you can roll it on the outside of your thumb. I think it is personal preference. Once you've rolled the baton onto your wrist, flex your hand up and begin the "fishtail" motion only in reverse. Your baton is going to sit on your wrist below your thumb. Remember, your hand motion always has to be one step ahead of your baton to keep your baton from flying off.
You have anything to add please do!
