I was just wondering how many twirlers take dance to help with twirling.

[glow=blue,2,300]i do and/or have done: ballroom, disco (2 classes), and, last year, i did GCSE (stupid exams) in dance. we did loads of stuff, but i wanted to do baton twirling for my exam piece, but they would not let me as they think only ballet, tap and modern are dance.... grrr.... [/glow]

No, actually, I do not take dance to help with twirling...sometimes that can be a problem, but usually it isn't. I would recommend it if you are able to afford it.

If I wouldnt have started to take dance, I would have awful form in my twirling. I watched myself twirl my second year of it, and I was awful. Then I watched myself twirl a year later, when I started taking dance, and I looked so much better!
